It is a project developed by Fundación País Digital aimed to assist the teacher in the pedagogic tasks, with the use of ITCs in order to improve the learning process of students from 1° to 4° elementary, in the areas of mathemaITCs and language.

 

As scheduled, the project was implemented as from the second week of April at the 1º elementary in six urban marginal schools of the Metropolitan Region, including the delivery of equipment and start-up of workshops with teachers and managers.

 

In order to carry out the first phase of this project, we have the financial support of Microsoft, the technical support of the Ministry of Education, a technological kit provided by Dell Computer and Wi-fi broad band provided by Telefónica CTC Chile.

This program is carried out together with the Center for Education and Technology of the Ministry of Education -ENLACES- [Links].

 

The project intends to provide each student and teacher of 7º grade of 4 subsidized schools of the country, two from the Metropolitan Region and two from other regions, with a portable computer and broad band.

 

By implementing this pilot plan we look forward to obtaining information on:

 A Study of a New Identity for Teachers

 

An initiative developed by Fundación País Digital and Fundación Chile; sponsored by VTR. consistent with the preparation of a study on the identity and repositioning of Chilean teachers, in charge of the consultant El Otro Lado de las Cosas (Eugenio García).

 

The program is aimed to identify the weaknesses and problems teachers face nowadays, and the general perception society, parents and students have about them. From the interpretations that may arise, a series of elements will be approached in order to reposition the task of teachers in Chile, so that they have a place of acknowledgement and value in the social ladder, receptive of education innovation.

ITCs Cadaster on education

 

This is a project organized by Fundación País Digital and the Ministry of Education, funded by the Undersecretary of Economics. It is aimed to become familiar with the initiatives in place in Chile, related to the incorporation of information and communication technologies into education. The organization that was awarded the study is the Instituto de Informática Educativa of Universidad de la Frontera.

Objectives:  

During the first semester of 2006, a new version of the contest will take place, where all students preparing their final thesis, who are interested in making research and making possible the existing relationship between the New Technologies world and quality life of the Chilean citizens are invited to participate.

 

 

 

Scholarship offered by DMR Consulting to young engineers, with little labor experience, which consists in the possibility of obtaining a job for one year, under a contract, at any of the international offices of this company, the 2006 version taking place in Spain.
