2006 Projects
 
1.    National Innovation Forum
 
A blog forum, a Wiki space for the development of on-line participative proposals, two hundred participants and 10 important subjects are part of the working agenda of the National Innovation Forum, which first great mission is to create a meeting point – originated by the private sector – to articulate the innovation key actors, within the public, private and academic sectors. The proposal, headed by Fundación País Digital, contains the ten great areas that must be approached with concrete initiatives, so that Chile is able to increase its current innovation level. They are:
  • Development of innovation infrastructure
  • School education
  • Collage education
  • Innovation financing
  • Entrepreneurs and Pyme
  • Competition of private sector
  • Offshoring of services
  • Public sector
  • Intellectual property
  • Fiscal and Regulatory environment
País Digital great allies in this challenge are all the areas of society, duly represented at the working groups created to prepare the proposals. 2.     Made in Chile, the Chilean Innovation Book for the World
 
 
Innovating ideas? Innovating characters, creations, processes? Fundación País Digital and the Santiago Chamber of Commerce are looking for stories to rescue and to spread the capability for innovation in Chile, not only in the technology and business areas, but also in the aspects related to arts, culture, sports and other fields.
 
How and when innovative processes are triggered, how ideas are made real, who are the innovation stars, which was their quest, their failures and successes, are all part of the objectives of the book Made in Chile, a collection of real stories that intends to encourage values according to the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit, always under good practice.
 
 
 
3.    MTT - Subtel – FPD Dialogue Table

During 2006 Fundación País Digital has summoned different members of the public, entrepreneurial and academic sectors to a working table integrated by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, the Undersecretary of Telecommunications, and Fundación País Digital, in order to work together for the discussion of common issues.

First Innovation Poll in Chile
 
 
During two months – August and September, 2005, Fundación País Digital and The Boston Consulting Group –BCG- organized the First Poll of Entrepreneurial Innovation in Chile, with BCG methodology, which carries out this poll at a worldwide level every year. Presidents and CEOs of 60 leading companies of the country participated, and personal interviews with renowned executives were made; the results were published on November 28, 2005 in an extensive article in Economía y Negocios, of El Mercurio.
