Doctor in Phiilosophy and Master of Design, Royal College of Art, London, England, Civil Engineer, with complete education in Architecture at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Master of Design, 1975 and Doctor of Philosophy, 1977. Current Dean of the School of Science and Technology of UAI, Director of Derco, Unlimited, Extend Comunicaciones, and advisor to the Board of Directors of Sodimac.
Full-time professor of the Industrial Engineering and Systems Department of the Catholic University of Chile, he developed courses in the areas of systems modeling and design of technological innovation. He developed the first marketing courses for engineers at the Catholic University, and he held the position of Head of the Systems Engineering Department (1980-84), and Academic Assistant Director of the School of Engineering (1984-86). Creator of a computers development plan: Crucible Project, (1984) which placed the Catholic University in a leading position by incorporating networks and micro-computers to all its schools. Director of Teleduc.
Founder of EnterSet company, (1984) one of the pioneers in software development for the Macintosh platform, in San Francisco, California. In 1988 he founded Apple Chile, an exclusive representation of Apple Computer in our country, and several others of the informatics area, which are traded at the stock exchange under the umbrella of the Quintec holding. He founded Unlimited (1994), the first Latin American company devoted to the development of multimedia interactive software for education. Its most recent company, Virtualia S.A., (2000) meant the development of one of the most sophisticated projects in the Internet area in our country (client fidelity, market research, on-line community).
