Director of the Politechnic Institute of Santiago, between 1967 and 1969, Researcher Professor of the Industrial Engineering Department of Universidad de Chile, where the Information Technologies discipline was initiated in the country; author and co-author of seven books published by Editorial Universitaria S.A., each of them with several editions, on subjects related to Informatics, Information Systems, Data Bases and Financial Analysis.

 

Visiting professor at domestic and Latin American universities. Member of the Editorial Committee of magazine "Information and Management", of North-Holland - Elsevier Publ.

 

Director of the Industrial Engineering Department during the terms 1980-1984 and 1988-1990, Vice-Dean of the School between 1984-1985 and member of its Academic Evaluation Commission between 1991-1992. Pro-rector of Universidad de Chile. Dean of the School of Physical Science and Mathematics for two terms, since 1994 to 2002. Member of the Special Commission University Senate.
