YASNA PROVOSTE CAMPILLAY

State professor of Physical Education of Universidad de Playa Ancha de Ciencias de la Educación, and Master in Education Management of the same university. She is currently the Minister of Education.
 
She was the President of the Alumni Association of UPLA for two consecutive terms, and member of the discussion table of the Students Federation of that university. She was also the national Vice-President of the Physical Education Students Network.
 
She made post-graduate studies at Pontificia Universidad Javieriana of Bogotá, Colombia: “Decentralization and Local Governments with emphasis on “Citizens Participation”.
 
During former President Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle administration, she held the position of Regional Director of the Third Region Woman National Service, Atacama, between 1996 and 1997, being appointed in 1997 Governor of the Huasco Province, position that she held until 2001.
 
In 2001, President Ricardo Lagos appointed her Intendent of the Third Region, and in October, 2004 she was promoted to Minister of Planning, performing such duty until the end of the Lagos administration.
 
Between March and July 2006 she was National Executive Director of Fundación Integra.
